How it all started
Hi, I’m Rohan.
I got COVID in March of 2020, and had 2.5 years of progressively worse symptoms. Desperate to find an answer, I used my science background to dive into the research. What I found led me to an NIH paper.
That paper showed virus persisting in the brain and body of people many months after their initial infection. While horrifying, it was also hopeful - maybe antivirals could clear my symptoms. I tried long-course Paxlovid, with no lasting changes. I tried a combination next: Paxlovid, along with a long-acting monoclonal antibody called Evusheld. By the second treatment, my symptoms completely disappeared. I’ve been symptom free for more than two years.
Where we’re going with your help
My story is what science calls an n=1. It’s a single case, an anecdote. But anecdotes can lead to discoveries. I started telling my story to scientists and clinicians and realized that governments and big pharma were not funding trials to treat Long COVID quickly enough. So we started Long COVID Labs. We’re a decentralized, patient-led approach to curing Long COVID - faster, with fewer gatekeepers, and focused on empowering patients and scientists.
Help us accelerate a cure for the 100M+ people with Long COVID.
